“Oh rascal children of Gaza. You who constantly disturbed me with your screams under my window. You who filled every morning with rush and chaos. You who broke my vase and stole the lonely flower on my balcony. Come back, and scream as you want and break all the vases. Steal all the flowers. Come back..Just come back..”

Dilorom Shermatova is a Tajik artist from Dushanbe. She graduated from Olimov State Art College in Dushanbe and she is a member of the Artists Union of Tajikistan. The uniqueness of her art works is in the fact that all her pictures are made of dried pressed rose petals. Each detail of the picture, even (eyes, eyelashes, hair) – are made of dried pressed roses. Instead of oil she uses natural gamut of colors of these flowers and also she makes her artworks with semiprecious stone (frorentine mosaics). (x) (x)
